Item Description

This specimen was collected very recently (within the last few months). It hails from one of the most exciting Bolivian locality of the last 10 years. It hosts a few very good sized, attractive, tabular, metallic, lustrous, silvery-grey color, crystals with good form and somewhat crude crystallization. The piece has a unique appearance, and despite some rough edges, is good quality for the locality and the material. For the quality, these new specimens have created a lot of excitement, so much so that one of the best pieces was featured on the cover of the March/April 2009 Issue of the Mineralogical Record! This piece is from the same mine and certainly could have been found very near the cover piece. Bournonite is rarely seen in crystals this size from any locality in the world. Valued at $1000-$1200 for the size and attractive form
