Item Description
Bournonite specimens are RARE from the famous mines at Neudorf, renowned for world class galena and siderite specimens. A striking cluster of very sharp, splendent, metallic-gray bournonites aesthetically crowns the quartz matrix covered with more bournonites, lustrous, sharp, siderite rhombs and a couple of clusters of sharp, bright gray, galena crystals. The large crestal bournonite is 1.1 cm. Another rare 1.5 cm iridescent sulfide crystal, arsenopyrite or marcasite?, partially covered with tiny calcite rhombs is noted on the lower right. Remarkable and rare old-time combination material from this historic district, where the mines closed in 1903. Value??
