Item Description
A fine quality, showy and attractive specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, metallic prismatic "cogwheels" of gun-metal colored Bournonite with Quartz and minor Sphalerite on matrix. This is a great piece of Bournonite for the locality, ans the crystals are so well-formed and defined with the beautiful two-tone combination of the Quartz. Specimens such as this are not common on the market, and this is certainly from an older discovery, circa late 1970s or early 1980s. The largest crystal measures 1.2 cm long. I can only find one real blemish on the corner of the display side of the specimen, otherwise it's in great shape. Very eye-catching, not only for Pachapaqui, but any world locality. Valued at $1200.
