Bournonite, Ferberite & Quartz

Item Description

A sculptural and showy small cabinet combination from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. A trident of gem, water-clear quartz points, to 3.6 cm, aesthetically flanks a beautifully iridesent blocky bournonite crystal with striking modified edges. The 2.3 x 2.1 x 2.1 bournonite is also nicely flanked by tabular ferberite crystals and massive quartz. One face at the back of the bournonite is broken away and is out-of-sight in the primary display views, but this remains a sculptural, excellent and highly representative 360-degree combination example of the species and noted locale. From teh front, it shows a great display with the sharp crystal rising up above quartz.
