Bournonite (''cogwheels'') with Ferberite, Quartz, etc.

Item Description

A fantastic association specimen from this prestigious Chinese mine featuring wonderful, sharp, splendent, gun metal grey colored metallic "cogwheel"-shaped groups of Bournonite that measure up to 8 mm long associated with lustrous, bladed crystals of Ferberite on the back which measure up to 3.2 cm long, along with blocky, sharp, silvery-grey crystals of Arsenopyrite measuring up to 1.7 cm, plus prismatic, colorless gemmy Quartz crystals up to 3.3 cm long on matrix. Additionally there are small dark brassy metallic Stannites on the specimen, and I believe there are some tiny Tetrahedrite/Freibergite crystals as well, but I can't say for certain. The piece is not 100% damage free, there are some nicks in spots, but overall it's in good shape, and displays wonderfully. I love these multi-species combo pieces, especially when the overall quality of each mineral is as good as they are on this piece. Valued $1,250.
