Item Description
This piece is one of the few "cogwheel" specimens of Bournonite that I have offered from Bolivia in the auctions for a while. It features many attractive, sharp, metallic, lustrous, silvery-grey color, "cogwheel"-shaped crystal groups measuring up to 1.1 cm across aesthetically sprinkled over micro black Sphalerite matrix The piece is in excellent shape, with only a few small nicks here and there. This specimen is from a recent find in 2019 in Bolivia. My favorite aspect of the piece is the fact that the "cogwheels" are well-isolated on the piece, and not tightly intergrown into an undiscernible mass. If you're a fan of sulfosalts, metallic minerals or simply Bolivian material, don't miss out on this attractive display specimen of these beloved "cogwheel" Bournonites. Valued at $700.
