Item Description

There was a find of this relatively rare copper sulfosalt about 6 years ago at Machacamarca, and this piece is definitely one of the more attractive specimens to come out in this size range. This piece hosts an attractive, sharp, somewhat tabular, metallic, silvery-grey color, lustrous, "cogwheel"-shaped crystal group measuring 2.4 cm across sitting atop Pyrite matrix. Several of the faces of the "cogwheel" are very sharp with great smooth, bright faces, but there is an incomplete growth/interference on the side of the crystal that keeps it from being 100% complete. Overall, a worthwhile reference specimen of this hard to find habit from this classic locality in Bolivia.
