Item Description

A hard to find example of the classic, eye-catching Bournonites from La Mure. This piece is a fine, sharp, lustrous, gun-metal color "cogwheel"-shaped group of Bournonite free of matrix. This piece is in excellent condition with well-formed, distinct faces along with a brilliant metallic exterior. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10790). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
