Item Description

A beauty from Bolivia in the form of an attractive and rarely seen "cogwheel" specimen of Bournonite. This is one of the few that we've had to offer in the auctions for a while. This piece features several attractive, metallic, stainless steel grey color, "cogwheel"-shaped crystals free of matrix. The largest crystal measures 2.1 cm. There are a several spots that are contacted, but it's still in decent shape. Despite the contacts, this is still one of better pieces from Machacamarca that we've had in some time. A nice thumbnail for anybody who collects sulfosalts or Bolivian minerals.
