Bournonite (''cogwheel'')

The famed Yaogangxian in China has become one of the foremost localities for fine quality crystallized Bournonite specimens in the world. Honestly, there are only a few operating localities in the world that produce superb Bournonite specimens, and the pieces from Yaogangxian are among the best extant. This piece is a fairly sharp, well-formed, silvery-grey color, metallic, prismatic "cogwheel"-shaped crystal of Bournonite with minor associated tabular Quartz, free of matrix. There are some rough spots on the piece, so it's not 100% perfect, but it's still a very good sized "cogwheel" on a worldwide scale. In my experience Bournonite crystals of this size are not common from any locality, and this is still a pretty good example of the Yaogangxian specimens.
