Item Description

The crystal on this specimen has an unusual shape due to fact that it might have grown against the wall of the pocket when it formed. It has great luster and good form with the typical gun-metal appearance. The matrix is crystallized micro Quartz with greenish-brown rhombic Siderite. Mined in 2002. There was a find of his relatively rare copper sulfosalt about 10 years ago at Machacamarca, and this piece is one of the more unusual specimens from this find. The largest crystal measures 4.2 cm, which is very good for the species, especially from Bolivia.
