Item Description

A gorgeous film of a band neon-green and blue opal crosses the center of the face of this large rounded alluvial cobble of laminated quartzite on this impressie large piece from Australia. The rest of the face is covered with a film of water-clear and cream-colored opal, which clearly goes back into the rock as well. This is a classic matrix example of a natural opal deposit. This is 1200 grams! You can carve this into many slives for decorative or jewelry use as natural opals, or into some animals or other fancy carvings...there is a lot of material for the price, I am sure.
