Item Description
A very attractive classic example of Boulder Opal from Quilpie, Queensland, Australia featuring a gemmy group that shows brilliant iridescent multi-color flash in reflected light, with bright gold, blue, green and purple hues, and when the piece is backlit, the internal color of the Opal glows with a vibrant orange color. Boulder Opal is one of the most distinct and popular Opal varieties in the world. Australia is obviously the most prolific producer of Opals, not just because of quantity, but the wide array of Opals is found there. A fine quality specimen that looks better in person than the video might indicate.
