Spectacular flashes of electric-blue, teal-blue and day-glow green on this gorgeous, glassy, precious opal on the banded ironstone matrix from this famous. This is first-class Australian fire opal. Older, highly desirable material with a low collection number from the Kay Robertson Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
