The gorgeous color play and swirls of peacock blues, greens and creams on this totally polished, sculptural specimen are mesmerizing. This striking example of "precious opal" is from Quilpie. The banded ironstone matrix on the back really adds more character to this spectacular piece. This rarity displays very well without aid, as the base is sawed. 284 grams.
