A classic piece of colorful Boulder Opal from Quilpie, Australia. Boulder Opal is beloved because it's one of the most distinctive, colorful and popular Opal varieties out there. Australia is obviously the most prolific producer of Opals of any country, and there is a wide array of Opals are found all over. This piece is a lovely example of Boulder Opal that features beautiful patches which show flashes of electric green, blue, aqua/teal color which can be seen when the piece is rotated in the light, sitting on ironstone matrix. The piece is completely natural, untouched/unpolished and looks beautiful in person. Valued $900.
