Item Description

A wonderful and showy specimen of Boulangerite from the Noche Buena Mine in Zacatecas, Mexico. We've had a handful of these to offer over the years, but this one really stands out in terms of quality, displayability and overall presentation. Dozens upon dozens of scintillating metallic grey Boulangerite needles measuring to about 5 mm, are associated with pyritohedral metallic light golden colored crystals of Pyrite on this fine small cabinet sized specimen. Older material, certainly from the 1970s. Very hard to find on the market, and a great combo piece to add to a sulfide / sulfosalt suite or a Mexican mineral collection. You would be hard-pressed to find a better example of this old material on the market today. Valued $950.
Ex Brian Kosnar collection.
