Boulangerite incl. in Quartz (rare combo) ex Fioravanti Coll.

Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from this obscure Swiss locality. Having a very aesthetic and pristine included specimen is off of the charts for the locale. Two, dramatically set, parallel-growth, gem, quartz points are richly included with black needles and hairs of boulangerite. The oxidized matrix is pearlescent, muscovite schist. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection of Rome and acquired in 1968, according to a note on the back of his label. This outstanding specimen is probably from the Claus Valley, which is close to the famous Cavradi Gorge in Tavetsch.
