Item Description

Mottramite was unknown from this famed mine until this 2011 find (Moore's Compendium of Mineral Discoveries, 2016). This very sculptural piece is covered with stalactites and botryoids of velvety greenish-brown to greenish-gray mottramite. The bruising on the right side shows the nifty interiors of the stalactites. Choice and showy material from this small find.
