Hematite specimens of this quality and richness are RARE from famous Bisbee. Highly lustrous grape-like clusters of botryoids richly and aesthetically cover the sculptural mounded massive small cabinet hematite matrix on this rare and excellent example of the botryoidal hematite variety. Possibly from the Shattuck Mine. The piece displays well without aid. Classic and rare Bisbee hematite. Unusual, highly representative, old-time combination material from the Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. Mullane was a major Arizona collector and dealer, with a heyday in the 1950s-1960s. We bought his collection around 2008
