Item Description
This recent find really shocked the mineral collecting world, because botryoidal fluorites are rare, and here you had intensely rich PURPLE ones (which had rarely been seen before). The translucent specimens glow a luscious lavender under good light. The bubbly stacked botryoids on banded fluorite have great form on this 3-sided piece. The scattered yellowish iron oxide-coatings really add strangeness and pizzazz! The two large stacked botryoids are in great shape. The noted periphery wear is minimally detracting and the piece displays well without aid. Showy and highly representative of the rare species and find. The botryoids have a richer purple/violet color, than the photos show.
