Item Description
Botryogen is rarely seen in crystal form, and the pieces from the Santa Elena Mine are some of the best in the world for the species. This piece features fairly well-formed, lustrous, beautiful orange color crystals of Botryogen measuring up to 4 mm associated with Copiapite on host rock matrix. The fact that the Botryogen is crystallized is what makes the piece special. There are plenty of crystals on both the front and back of the specimen, and they are fun to view under magnification. If you collect rarities, then don't miss out on this excellent representation of this very hard to find material.
