Item Description

This rare copper hydroxyhalide polymorph of Atacamite was named after the Botallack Mine, St. Just, Cornwall, but this particular piece is from Ireland. Specimens from Ireland are nearly impossible to find on the market, and this is the only one we've seen from the Dooneen Mine. A RICH coverage of beautiful dark emerald green Botallackite can be seen on white Quartz matrix. A really cool specimen for species collectors. The piece comes from the collection of Paolo Matioli with a label from Alan Barnes.
