Item Description
Botallackite is rare secondary copper mineral found in copper deposits in areas weathered while exposed to sea water. This rich and colorful specimen is from a modern (early 2000's find ) at the historic Type Locality area in Cornwall. Blue-green lathes, some scintillating, to about 3 mm cover this very fine example from Cligga Head. The exceptionally rich coverage on this piece is noteworthy. Valued at $600.
