Item Description
A very large for the famous district, 2.5 cm and close to the maximum of 3.0 cm, complex dodecahedral bornite crystal with rounded edges and matte charcoal-gray color with some purple iridescence. The crystal is aesthetically set in a plate of quartz points, smaller bornites and scattered pyrite. The few noted broken quartz points are certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent, old-time classic with a large crystal. Ex Albert Sebela Collection, a Massachusetts collector who passed away in 2000 and an East Coast collection. Valued at $300-500 for exceptional crystal size.
