Bornite combination specimens of this fine quality, richness and large size are uncommon from the famous Leonard Mine at Butte. Nubby, matte-finish bornite crystal clusters have moderate iridescence and are attractively scattered across the large plate with contrasting brassy pyrite crystals and quartz crystal sprays. The bit of noted bruising and periphery wear are certainly modest detractions to this very fine, large old combination from Butte.
