Item Description
We believe that the scattered lumpy, metallic black coatings on the striking, bright, brassy, lightly iridescent pyrite pyritohedrons are bornite microcrystals, not chalcocite, as stated on the Trimingham label. Irregardless, this remains a very showy, rich and excellent combination piece, along with the quartz points and what looks to be RARE clusters of sparkly, tan, dolomite or siderite micro rhombs on the quartz and pyrite matrix. This fine combination old-timer is from the famous Steward Mine displays well from several angles.
