Item Description
An excellent thumbnail and rare, old-time pseudomorph from the historic Botallack Mine of Cornwall, England. Bornite has pseudomorphed a nifty, tabular cluster of sharp, parallel-growth, chalcocite crystals. The piece looks like basalt columnals. The backside even has light iridescence. I have never seen a pseudomorph specimen of this quality from this classic locale. The Botallack Mine opened in 1721 and closed in 1914! Bornite is rare from here and a pseudo, even more so. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued $400
