Item Description
Bornite is one of the signature copper ore species from the famous mines at Butte. This very fine and showy combination piece features rounded, melted-look, charcoal-gray, bornite crystals with some blue iridescence strikingly intermixed with diverging sprays of tapered quartz points. Choice, old-time combination material from the Dr. Gary Hansen Collection. Possibly from the Steward Mine. Calculated to have been collected in 1960. Valued at $750-900.
