Item Description
Here we have a rare pink Boracite specimen from a find in Bolivia in early 2010. While these specimens are well known, this new find has produced some of the best pink Boracites I have seen from the locality. Most people are familiar with the "blue" Danburites from this locality, but the other staple species found here is Boracite, which is also typically blue in color. This piece features a very good sized, well formed, sharp, rare orange-pink color modified 1.5 cm cube of this hard to find species on matrix. Nothing is as impressive or RARE as the pink crystals! Most often the Boracites from this locality are some shade of blue or grey, and to find pink is rather rare in my experience. There were only a handful of crystals from the entire find that were on matrix, so do not miss out on this great display specimen of a species that is not often found in attractive specimens. Valued at $800-$900 for the size and rare color of the crystal on matrix.
