Item Description

Here we have a rare pink Boracite specimen from a recent find in July 2010 in Bolivia. While these specimens are not a new discovery per se, they are new specimens from a well known locality. Most people are familiar with the "blue" Danburites from this locality, but the other staple species found here is Boracite. This piece features a few relatively well formed, sharp, orange-pink color modified cubes of this hard to find species on matrix. The large crystal measures 8 mm long. Most often the Boracites from this locality are some shade of blue, and to find pink is rather rare in my experience. There were only a handful of crystals from the entire find that were on matri, so do not miss out on this great display specimen of a species that is not often found in attractive specimens.
