Item Description
A wonderful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy and very well-formed pale silvery-grey color crystal of Boracite on Gypsum matrix from Luneburger. The crystal measurs 2.5 mm across. Very hard to find on matrix, and very good quality for the size. A more than worthwhile display piece of this hard to find material Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3629). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A true German classic and a wonderful display specimen! Valued at $950.
