Item Description
Here we have a superb small cabinet display specimen from the type locality for the species! Boracites from Luneburger Kalkberg are often seen in loose single crystals, and to find one on matrix is a big deal, let alone 20+ crystals like this piece!! After a quick count there are at least 20 (close to 30) eye-visible Boracite crystals on this piece showing excellent form with sharp, lustrous faces and gorgeous blue-green color. Upon close inspection I can see tetrahedral, cubic and dodecahedral faces on several crystals. The largest Boracite measurs 4 mm across, but it's not about the size, what matters is the volume of crystals on a single specimen. As a side note, it noticed that the color of the crystals looks best under halogen lighting for whatever reason. Very hard to find on matrix, and great quality for the size. If you collect old German classics or European minerals, this is a must have from the standpoint of rarity on the market.
