Item Description

An superb, 3-dimensional, vuggy cluster of very gemmy, sharp, lustrous, sea-green boracite crystals from the famous Boulby Mine of England. Boracite is a rare borate and this is a very rich and fine, older specimen for the species and classic locality. This specimen is SOLID boracite! Ex Lindsay Greenbank and Robert Whitmore Collections. Lindsay is a noted English collector, so you know that this is a good specimen. Aside from the pedigree, though, it has color and luster which speak for itself. Valued $1500. These came out in the early 1990s (see upcoming issue of the Mineralogical Record on the Greenbank Collection for more info)
