Two generations of boracite, a rare Mg-borate, dramatically cover this spectacular 360-degree mounded specimen from the Boulby Mine, an underground potash and salt mine. Two rich patches of top-quality, beautiful, gemmy, sparkly pastel-green boracite crystals dramatically cover the earlier generation of spherical boracite. Scattered patches of tiny sparkly brown, gemmy, Hilgardite microcrystals, a very rare Ca-borate are a typical and fine accessory. Ex Lindsay Greenbank Collection and purchased from him for around 1000 pounds back in 2008.
