Item Description

Choice example of a Boleite cube modified by the octahedron, the rarest habit for Boleite. The deep, prussian-blue color is accentuated by the high luster, and you can see why these rare, complex halides are so sought-after and desirable. Likely collected in the mid-70's, the aesthetics on this single crystal are excellent, and it is from the TYPE LOCALITY in the Boleo District, from a dig by Larson and Swoboda in the mid 1970s. A sharp, high-quality thumbnail of relatively large size, incredible condition, saturated color, and competitive display quality. Single fine crystals of this quality usually sell for $1000-2000. Better in person!
