Item Description
Unusual BLUE WAVELLITE from new finds of the summer 2010, at this old locale. This piece has pretty, lustrous and translucent bladed wavellite botryoids that richly and attractively line the sculptural vug in shale. These botryoids are super-glassy and have beautiful rich color, very much more blue than green and totally unusual for the mine. The contacted vug reveals the inner cores of the glassy, radating needle botryoids with striking yellow green cores. The photos make the botryoids about as blue as they actually are, but less lustrous than in person. This is a fine example of this new find, of which we bought the majority of the blue material. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
