Item Description
Topaz of good quality is actually a rarity from Afghanistan. This matrix specimen features unusual, robust, icy blue topaz crystals from the famous pegmatites of the Paprok region, known for tourmalines. These crystals are dramatic and impactful, and reach about 2 inches in size. It would be an impressive blue topaz specimen from Brazil in any case, but from Afghanistan....all the more so! And, if it were from Brazil, a matrix blue topaz would already be five figures and counting.
