Item Description
A significant and sculptural large group of lustrous, translucent pretty celestine-blue tabular prehnite crystals with a light sprinkling of bright graphite on the front and bottom. Crystals are up to 2 cm long and some blades have "whitecap" zones on the edges. One of the largest clusters from this small lot, this 360-degree 3-sided specimen is very 3-dimensional and attractive. Most prehnites from the famed Merelani Hills were typical yellow-green, so this is a very uncommon and colorful varietal. From the January, 2013 find. Valued at $1000.
