Item Description
A very attractive group of blue crystals forming a cluster over 5 cm across, of unusually fine and large crystals of prehnite. Prehnite itself is common enough worldwide in hues of green and perhaps yellow but BLUE prehnite is a thing of excitement and rarity, and these robust, unusually shaped crystals are unique in the world for this combination of both color and shape. They have only come out a few times, over the last decades, and in association with tanzanite in some weird pockets found while tanzanite mining. The crystal groups are fairly large and have nice luster on this fine large miniature, valued $1250. This is from around 2014-2015 and is significant for teh size and quality of that find.
