Beautiful and sculptural small cabinet polished nodule of blue lace agate from a new find in Madagascar. This excellent piece is unusual and interesting in that the commonly seen dense banding is absent. The contrasting core of colorless quartz adds contrast and character. Backlighting highlights the rich blue color saturation of the translucent agate and the dense, colorless quartz "teeth" of the core. Both sides and one end have been polished on this cutie. These are considered to be the world's finest blue agates with an unknown color component. 73 grams mass. Exotic and stunning FOR THIS VARIETY OF QUARTZ!
