Item Description
A striking and beautiful, blocky cleavage specimen of transparent halite with color varying from intense blue to nearly colorless. The color is due to atomic lattice defects, not due to inclusions or impurities. Ex Jaime Bird Collection. Old material. His note states he bought the piece in May, 1972 at the Boron Auction.
