Glorious rich blue to dark purple color in a portion of the water-clear, highly lustrous, colorless halite cube section from this well-known large underground New Mexico potash mine. Lighting type, incidence and brightness causes the beautiful hues to vary. UNIQUE MATERIAL, FOUND BRIEFLY AND NOW INACCESSIBLE FOREVER in the deep old part of this mine.
