Item Description

Blue calcite is RARE from any worldwide locality. This striking and rare large combination is highlighted by the dramatic, 6.8 cm on diagonal, deep sky-blue calcite rhomb aesthetically embedded in the crystallized to granular diopside matrix. The two, sharp, chisel terminated crystals on one side reach 3.0 cm. This VERY RARE and desirable piece is from an obscure Montana skarn deposit. See the 1976 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 7, No. 1, pp. 18-24. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
