Item Description
Blue barite has long been considered one of the most desirable varietals from the famous and extinct iron mines at Frizington. Super-glassy, translucent, beautiful gray-blue crystals are aesthetically mounded on this very fine two-sided small cabinet. The impressive large doubly crystal at the crest is 7.2 cm long. The 'A' side displays beautifully without aid. This side is nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of chatter along the top of the large crystal. The out-of-sight back side does have a broken crystal near the base. From an East Coast collection and is certainly over 100 years old. Classic and very fine Frizington blue barite. Valued at $1000-1250.
