Item Description
This gem came from a small parcel of stones from our good friend overseas who personally collected them in 2022. These new Jaspers from Java are not only beautiful, but don't resemble any other Jasper stones we've seen. We were told that the locals are calling them Blue Banded Jasper, and it's easy to see why. Typically most Jasper stones will have warmer pastel hues, with occassional green shades mixed in, but to find blue in Jasper is rare my experience. This "Triangle Cabochon" cut gem has a wonderful color combination with a lovely soft grey-blue hue at the top which transitions a silvery-lilac shade, then into a reddish-brown and finishes with a gentle cream color at the bottom. A cool stone that would make a nice addition to any Quartz/Jasper collection or you could easily set it into jewelry to create a unique piece.
