Blue and pink Frizington barites are a Cumbria classic and are highly desirable. This fine and well-formed tabular, parallel-growth specimen is extremely glassy and has striking, gem, multiple steep terminations. The bodies are a fine blue with pink tinted edges. This is a partial doubly terminated crystal with the contacted base being embedded with iron oxide-included quartz crystals, which is an interesting accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A couple of termination edges have barely noticeable rubbing and one secondary termination has a gentle, barely noticeble cleave. This is classic, old-time and excellent Frizington barite.
