Item Description
Black Opal is the most distinct, sought after and frankly valuable Opal variations in the world. For decades, Australia has obviously been the world's most prolific producer of Opals. The famous locality of Lightning Ridge has yielded some of the finest Black Opals ever found. This "Pear Cabochon" cut stone features beautiful little patches of electric green and blue patches of Opal which are sitting against a dark background. This stone is a SOLID Opal, and not a doublet or a triplet, which makes it more valuable and worthwhile for a collector. Lots of color in a smaller stone.
