Item Description
These are certainly some of the most unusual quartz specimens, that have come from the famed deposits at Dal'negorsk. This bizarre glassy quartz specimen has the familiar hexagonal form expressed in dozens of stacked hexagonal disks at different angles and striking blocky crystals that form a column. It is thought that these occur because of growth inhibition by calcite. The calcite later dissoloved away. It looks man-made! Outstanding and uncommon quartz from the Richard Hauck Collection.
