Item Description

A truly bizarre shaped and exotic large manganoan calcite from the famous Huanggang mines. This fantastic looking 360-degree pristine cave formation combination "hedgehog" grew from a single stalk! Hefty for its size, the glassy Mn-calcite crystals are a pretty pastel-pink. Striking stalks and knobs of stacked cream-colored nailhead calcite rhombs add dramatic flair to this unique looking piece. Neon-orange fluorescence! Hefty at 836 grams or 1.8 pounds mass. We have never seen another with this amazing shape from the locale. It is quite aesthetic compared to most, and unique. Valued $3500-4500
